Technical Producer

The Technical Producer is responsible for the setup and operation of key technical systems supporting field production on a wilderness survival competition series for a major streamer. Working with production, camera, and post teams, this role ensures reliable communications, connectivity, and technical infrastructure across filming locations and the production hub.

Key Responsibilities

• Connectivity & Communications
  • Setup, deploy, and operate satellite connectivity systems used for production communications and data transmission
  • Maintain and satellite phones, GPS trackers, and other field communication devices
• Technical Infrastructure
  • Coordinate logistics related to equipment movement, charging, power supply, and connectivity needs
  • Monitor and maintain production technology systems throughout filming, including camera kits
• Multiview & Remote Monitoring (Opening and Closing Phases)
  • Setup and operate Multiview monitoring during the first three days and final phase of competition
  • Configure camera RX/TX links and integrate feeds into the Multiview system
  • Supply/operate Multiview generator and manage cloud-based video routing gateway for remote monitoring

Optional Scope

• Supply and manage DMT infrastructure including:
  • 2x DMT workstations, card readers and adapters
  • LTO backup system
  • Oversee on-site media offload, backup, proxy generation and archive workflows.

Term

• 1-2 weeks – location scouts (mid May)
• 2 weeks – pre-production (equipment prep and testing)
• 30 days – production on location (travel, room & board provided)
• 1 week – post-production wrap and equipment return
